The Commission is seeking the services of one (1) Graduate Intern for a period of at least six (6) months. The engagement period may be extended as the need arises.
The intern will be attached to the Commission’s Finance and Administration Division and will inter alia be responsible for assisting with the following functions:
· Preparations of the Monthly management accounts.
· Assist in maintaining the fixed asset register and monthly reporting.
· Assist in the preparations of monthly creditors reconciliations.
· Assist in the determination of the applicable merger filling fee.
· Assist in the monthly reconciliation of the merger filling fee account.
· Assist the head of the Procurement management unit in the daily administration of the Commissions procurement needs.
· Generally, to assist in managing the workload of the Assistant Accountant.
· Attend to any other function as directed by the Manager Finance.
Minimum Requirements
· A Bachelor of Accounting Degree or equivalent.
· Knowledge International Financial Repotting Standards (IFRS).
· Knowledge and application of pastel accounting system.
· Basic understanding of Procurement Management.
· Analytical and critical thinking competencies.
· Accountable, honest with utmost integrity and ethical conduct.
· Report writing skills.
