New Merger Thresholds Gazetted, December 2015
A new determination of a class of mergers excluded from Chapter 4 of the Competition Act 2 of 2003 was made by the Minister of Industrialisation, Trade and SME Development and published in Government Notice 307 on 21 December 2015.

The Determination of Threshold (Government Notice 5107) main purpose is for the:
- Determination of threshold of annual turnover or value of assets below which Part II of Chapter 3 of Competition Act, 2003, does not apply to; and for the
- Determination of class mergers to be excluded from Chapter 4 of Competition Act, 2003.
